plugfest

Noun.  An event during which devices are tested for interoperability with emerging standards by physically connecting them. If systems are standards compliant then they should function as expected when they're "plugged" together. "In the New Serial Bus (NSB) plugfest the FooMonkey device was unable to connect to a NSB controller and therefore did not receive an NSB compliance certification".
