Noun.  (biochemistry) An enzyme that produces hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids (HETEs) and epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) from arachidonic acid, causing effects such as cell proliferation and decrease in cyclooxygenase activity.
