Gallegan

  1. Proper noun.  Galician, a citizen of Galicia. However, Galicians consider the term Gallegan much less preferable and incorrect than "Galician" because it is a second-hand translation based on the Spanish gallego.
  2. Proper noun.  The Galician language spoken in Galicia. Although this language sounds like a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese, it is an independent language that evolved directly from Latin.
